Something Strange in the Rock

If you have been carrying a Rune Fragment or an intact Runestone, take another look. The tile now glows blue and its picture gives a little hop now and then, and selecting it shows a new Inspect action in Item details. Inspect opens a short New mission offer for Not From Around Here: the mineral seems to resonate beyond ordinary space, and someone might recognize it. Starting it uses nothing up: whichever you inspected stays in your Inventory, and once the Mission is started neither glows any more.

Three people might know something. Wade Rusk and Tansy Rusk do not recognize it, and either of them will tell you who to ask next: Tolliver Kade, who runs Last Leg Trading at Holo Hollow Landing. You can skip them and go straight to him. Tolliver has not identified the mineral, but he knows where some very similar cargo went, and the Mission now sends you looking for a researcher at Hilltop Workshop on Stillreach.

That is as far as the Mission goes for now. The researcher and the route to Stillreach are not in the game yet, so the Mission stays accepted and Active with nothing to hand in, and the Map points nowhere. It pays nothing. Your progress is kept.
